It is Sunday already?

The weekends just fly by! On Saturday Craig and I had our date night to celebrate my birthday. My parents came down to babysit and we went out to Outback steakhouse for dinner. Since we had some giftcards Craig got from work, we splurged and had drinks and appetizers and yummy steaks. I was so stuffed afterwards, I had absolutely no room for dessert! Then we went to the movies and saw the new movie "Burn After Reading" with George Clooney, Brad Pitt, John Malkovich, and Frances McDormand. It was a really good movie. Typical funny ironic humor you would expect from the Coen brothers with a hilarious final scene to end the film. There were some unexpected moments in the movie (I won't spoil it for those that are checking it out), but it was definitely a fun movie.

We really need to plan these date nights more often. It was so nice to go out and of course, Chloe loves spending time with her Nana and Poppa and was sound asleep when we got home. Even Sneakers was curled up on the couch with my mom and perfectly content.

I wanted to post a picture of my current knitting project. It is my first real project so I am sure there might be mistakes, but go easy on me! It is a baby blanket I am making for a girlfriend. Her baby shower is on 10/5, so I want to have it finished by then.

Here is my progress so far. I am about 1/3 done, so I better hustle! I am using a blue/white yarn since she is having a little boy.
The pattern is a simple triple rib (knit 3, purl 3) but it still keeps me paying attention.

Chloe wants me to pay attention to her, so I have to run!!

I'm glad you guys had a great date night!! I'm hoping we can go catch that movie some time this week. Tom has been busy all weekend with law review stuff, so we haven't had a chance to see it yet.

The blanket looks good! I would love to learn, but I just don't have the extra time right now. Someday, if I ever finish school I will though. :P I remember my great grandma teaching me when I was young, but of course, I've forgotten it all now!

Good for you having a fun night out for your birthday, and steak I could eat it every meal.

That is what Elena looks like when she wants attention.

She has gotten REALLY clingy lately.

Ooh that yarn is pretty!

I'm glad date night went well. Craig and I really need to have one of those sometime soon. It's been way too long!
