My hands are tired

It has been a long and busy week. Work has been really busy and I am falling a little behind in some things. I brought some stuff home with the ideal of trying to do some work from home this weekend, but here it is Sunday night and I am just not motivated.
I spent most of my free, non-Chloe time (i.e. nap time and bedtime) yesterday doing MBA work. I had to write a paper and do a couple simulations and it involved a fair amount of research. I finished up around 11:30 pm last night and submitted to my instruction before the midnight deadline. This week will be another busy one for school as I have another big paper to write by Saturday. Hopefully I can get a good head start on it during the week, but I just don't know if I actually will. I am just tired by the end of the day that it is often hard to stay focused.

I finished knitting the neck gaiter that Craig asked for. I used a nice think chunky wool blend (Plymouth Encore Mega) and used a ribbed pattern in the round. I made it a bit too long, so he just folds it over, or leaves it long to pull up over his face if it is really cold out. Now I am trying to figure out what to cast on next. I think I will start with a little sweater for Chloe. Or a Clapotis for myself. The clapotis pattern has some stitches that I don't know yet, so I will have to practice on my sample yarn and see if I can do it OK. I am really enjoying my knitting. Sometimes I go for several hours (like when we were watching the debate or a Red Sox game), but then my hands hurt afterwards. But I enjoy it so much, that I can't stop myself!

Today, Chloe and I went to my parents house, because their neighbor (and my dear friend) Kim was having her baby shower today. She is due at the end of the month and is the person I knitted the little baby blanket for. It was a nice party because I got to see a lot of people-my mom, my gram, my sister and niece, my two cousins, and of course, the mom-to-be Kim. Chloe was such a little angel, especially since it was during her nap time. When we left, Chloe passed out in the car and when we got home, I just carried her in to her crib and let her sleep for an hour. She is such a little social butterfly and loves to visit with people.

I have some pictures to share of course.

Craig's parents came down for a visit last weekend and Grampa just loves to play with Chloe.

Grampa was helping Chloe with one of her favorite books-the Foot Book.

Sneakers was snuggling with me while I was knitting

Chloe's hair is finally starting to come in enough that I can use one of these cute little clips that Heather sent me.

Craig and Chloe are exhausting from a good frolicking play on the floor.

Here is the neck gaiter that I made for Craig.

Hey Jenny don't you overdo it, taking too much on usually results in lack of motivation, life becomes cluttered when you can't see the light at the end of the tunnel. Make sure your week has sometime put aside just for yourself.

Glad the knitting is going well. Can I hire you to knit Maddy a pair of longies for over her prefolds? :P I can't afford the $60+ people on diaperswappers spend. lol

I hope you're able to relax a little bit this week.

Wow, that is awesome - I wish I could knit! Isn't it fun when our little girlies finally get enough hair for 'decorations'?!? Chloe looks adorable with her clip.

Good luck with the full plate. You are a very motivated person and take on so much - you'll get it all done, I have no doubt.
