My love for Blue Paint and Elmo, by Chloe...

Since we went pumpkin picking last week, we decided that this week we would decorate the pumpkin this weekend. Since she is really too young to use a knife safely (yea, I am a smart one!) we figured that painting would work great and be a lot of fun for Chloe too. So I got some poster paint and brushes and Chloe had a blast. Her pumpkin is definitely a Picasso-esque masterpiece. Mainly just a bunch of her favorite colors smeared around, but heck, it made her happy!

Chloe is really starting to talk up a storm. She loves apples and says Ap-pul whenever she sees one. She says Pees (please) and Tack-ooh (thank you) pretty regularly, and also like Nana (banana) and Coo-coo (cookies). And of course, there is her favorite word. Elmo. She is addicted to Elmo. In fact, we got her a little stuffed Elmo when we were at Target this morning and all throughout the store she just kept saying ELMO! and hugging the doll. She really really loves him.

Next week, Chloe will officially be a year and a half. She just grows so fast, it is amazing! In a couple weeks we have her doctor visit and I am very interested to see how big she has gotten.

Craig has been studying like crazy over the last few weeks for his CFP exam today, so I hope he does well and passes. I know it means a lot to him. This is my last week of my MBA Econ class. It has been a tough class with a lot of reading and writing, so I am looking forward to the break. I only get one week off, before the next class starts, and that one goes until Christmas. Hopefully that one won't be as challenging as this class has been. After that, I think I will take a semester off just to catch my breath!

Tomorrow my parents are having a big spaghetti dinner at their house. We used to do them all the time when I was younger (i.e. in college) and my sister and I and all our gal pals, cousins, etc. would congregate at the table, eating and chatting. Well, we are all back in the same state now (basically me!) and we are resurrecting them. It should be a good time and I am looking forward to it.

Of course, here are some fun pictures of my little artiste!

Mixing just the right colors...

Ooh, that pink paint looks yummy!

Actually, as it turns out, the blue was way tastier!

Her little feet were dancing a jig because she was so excited!

Sharing a cookie with Sneakers

Shrieking with delight over her new BFF Elmo.

It sounds like things are going very well! I hope Craig's CFP test went well. I love the pumpkin painting pictures! It'll be great when we can get all of the kids together to play. Elmo can be absolutely addicting for children. We've passed that phase and we are not stuck in the Cars and Disney Princess phase. Damn marketing! It is always getting me. The kids' room looks like an advertising campaign and I swore I would avoid the temptation. Oh well!

Let's get together soon! Good luck with the rest of your class.

That is so funny!!! Mia loves Elmo and is obsessed with her Elmo panties!! She isn't using the potty yet, but that doesn't stop her from wearing them over her clothes!!!

Chloe looks like she had so much fun painting her pumpkin!! I love the pics!!!

Painting pumpkins is such a fun thing to do with them at this age. Maddy loved it. I swear Maddy and Chloe would be the best of friends IRL. She is currently OBSESSED with Elmo right now. lol

Love the pictures.
