7 weeks and ok

Well I have passed the 7 week mark and so far, so good. I have been really tired lately. In fact, this Sunday, the whole family took a 2.5 hr nap. It was great! Next week I go for my ultrasound and I am very anxious to see that everything is going as good as I hope it it.

This morning I awoke to a crazy snow storm that has dumped about 10 inches on us so far and more continues to fall. I still made it in to work (I think my sitter was surprised to see me and Chloe this morning!), but I am planning on leaving by 2:30 so I can get home before the next wave of the storm hits. There aren't too many people in the office which is nice because I can get a lot done today.

Craig and I are in the process of planning a vacation. A real, get-out-of-the-state, and go somewhere warm vacation. Craig's brother Dale is staying in Tampa for the winter and has a 2 bedroom place, so we could stay with him for free and since Chloe doesn't turn 2 until end of April, we don't have to pay for her airfare either. We are planning to go for a long weekend, Fri-Tues, and all I want to do is hang out in the sun, at the beach or maybe go to Seaworld one day.

I am sure that to Floridians, it is not that balmy right now, but for me, 70 degrees would be glorious! I think we will do the first weekend in April, now I just have to book it!

Chloe is getting to be such a little independent imp. She is still completely a mommy's girl and there are some days when I am sick of the name "mom". She loves to repeat it louder and louder until she is eventually screaming MOM at me. I always keep my voice level and don't shout back at her, but for her it is a game. It is like she is trying to antagonize me. She is also still very clingy to just me when she doesn't feel good. She has been working on her 2 yr molars to no avail, but when they are really bothering her and she has her whole fist in her mouth, all she wants is her mommy to hold her. Craig offers to help, but she only wants daddy when she specifically asks for him. He is not a stand-in for me in her eyes. People tell me that a time will come when she will switch and daddy will be the end-all, be-all. I am waiting for that day. Just one day, so I can have a break!

She is also starting to get into TV a little more. We normally only watch Jeopardy during the week, because by the time we get home, make dinner and eat, all that is left is the news and Jeopardy before her bath time. She calls it "Jeppy" and she loves it. She claps at the daily doubles and will actually sit there and watch it, although I think she just likes the flashing colors rather than understanding anything.

However, on Sunday mornings, we do watch Mickey Mouse clubhouse and she will stand 1 foot from the TV and stare. Sometimes on that show they have questions or push buttons and she will reach out and touch the TV along with the show. It is so cute. She also likes Handy Manny too, which I find interesting, and Winnie Pooh is also a favorite.

Well, I should be going soon and get ready to trek out into the blizzard.

I'm so glad for the good news Jenny!!! Enjoy your upcoming warm vacation. Can you believe we are in the 70's here in Colorado today while you all are getting all that snow?! We actually could use some - send it our way! : )

Thats great news that everything is going well.
Vacation should be good nothing wrong with a bit of sunshine in the winter.
10 inch of snow & you still got to work, if we get anything like that everything shuts down, I'm impressed.

Glad to hear that everything is going well, and I'll be thinking of you when you go for your ultrasound.

Tampa, huh? Sounds like a great place for a winter getaway :) In fact...I am there right now. It's been in the 60s this week, and that feels like HEAVEN next to what we have up in Wisconsin!! It's amazing how much my tolerance for cold has changed in nine short months. Anyway I'm sure your family will love a trip here. There are so many things you can do, and so many kid-friendly activities!

Stay warm this week!!!

I'm glad things are going well. Maddy LOVES Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. We watch it every Saturday morning while we lounge in bed. She's been obsessed with Handy Manny lately, too.

I hope the snow didn't last too long!
