I won't go into all the details, but needless to say, I hate insurance companies and doctors and bureaucracy in general, when it cancels my scheduled ultrasound the day before I was to have it, and reschedules it for next Friday. Ugh! Therefore, I must continue to be patient and wait.
Still doing OK and dealing with evening sickness (yes, I am just dandy in the am, but feel like crap right around dinner time). So far, I can still fit in my work clothes, they are just snug. I haven't really had any cravings except vinegar, which I love in general anyway. I have been bringing hard rolls with a little container of vinegar to dip them in to work. Yum! Other than that, I haven't really been eating too much since breakfast and lunch are usually pretty light for me and I feel crappy by dinner and therefore don't eat too much then either.
I just found out that Chloe's little friend Mimi (aka Isabella) will not be at daycare any more after next month. My daycare provider will try to find another little one, but for a little while, Chloe will be solo. I am not too worried, but I know how much Chloe loves her buddy Mimi and I am not sure how she will handle it when she is gone. Mimi was gone for 10 days at Christmas and Chloe talked about her constantly.
I haven't mentioned the pregnancy to my daycare provider yet, but assuming all goes well after next Friday's appointment, then we will let everyone know. I haven't quite figured out what to do after my maternity leave with two kids. We have been looking into getting an au pair since we have an in law apartment downstairs in our home and it would actually be about the same price (or a little cheaper) than 2 kids in daycare. Since Chloe will only be 2.5 years old, she will still be too young for a less expensive preschool program, that may be a good option for a couple years. And there is the added bonus of having to not shuttle the kids anywhere. Well, I figure we still have some time to figure all that stuff out. It has a way of working out.

ugh How frustrating! But, what can ya do? :( So sorry you have to wait another week.
How cruel that they postponed your u/s! Ugh on the evenings sickness. I guess it's a good sign but still... :( I wonder if your craving for vinegar is where the pickles craving comes from?
The nice thing about Quebec is that they offer 7$ a day daycare, and for example, since I'm paying almost 15$ a day for Sean's daycare, the balance (after 7$) I get back on my income taxes, or something to that effect.
THough, they only takes at 18 months, so I can only put Mack there in December, so I cannot go back to work or anything until he's in daycare. A lot of daycares here only take after 18 months, and I want to put both kids in the same place, and not have to run to 2 different places to drop off the kids (home daycares take earlier, but then you don't know who's uncle is hanging around the house... creepy).
I am sure you will work it out for the nanny/daycare situation. Maternity leave here is 1 year (50 weeks) and Mack just turned 40 weeks this week. I haven't figured out what I'll do after, but I still have time, since Mack wont be in daycare until december, so I'll be off work for 6 more months once my maternity runs out. But that's ok, I'm enjoying being a stay-at-home mom.
I am sure everything will work out for you!
