Geez, where have I been!

I guess having two girls, a fulltime job, hubby, house, dog and going for my MBA means I am a busy girl.

Ivy is doing well, but not really gaining weight as well as I would hope. At her 4 month visit, she was 12lb 3 oz, a whopping 1 lb in 2 months. She is a bit of a lazy nurser, so I really have to encourage her to nurse more and more. In part because she isn't gaining that great, she is still getting up in the middle of the night to feed, so mommy is a tired gal. She is on Prevacid for her reflux, but she still spits up ALOT, so that doesn't help with her weight gain either. Other than that, she is a happy, smiley, giggly little girl who absolutely loves to stare at her big sister.

Chloe is becoming quite a little toddler terror. I should have known that is was only a matter of time that my well mannered 2 year old would turn terrible. Little did I know that it would be closer to her 3rd birthday than her 2nd. She is still a good kid, but she cries and yells at the drop of a hat whenever she doesn't get what she wants and is definitely into testing boundaries and pushing to see what she can get away with. She is just about done with napping, so it means that by bedtime, she is quite a little bear. Thank goodness she is still a great sleeper at night. It is nice that both the girls are in bed at 8 pm. I actually get a few hours in the evening to feel a little more human and have an adult conversation with Craig.

Speaking of Craig, he has been studying like a fiend for his big CFP exam which is coming up in only 9 days. He has taken 6 section exams over the last 4 years and now has been studying for the cumulative exam for 5 months straight. I fear that if he doesn't pass, he will go postal. OK, not really, but he would really be crushed. I am keeping all my fingers and toes crossed for him!

As for me, I am loving being back at work. I have been back for a month now and I am right back in my groove. My manager's boss (our director) is a very good friend of mine and I just love working for her. She pulled me into her office the other day to say that she wants to retire in a couple years and she wants to work with me to be prepared to take her job. What a huge opportunity! My manager likes what she does and is not interested in being director but she loves me and totally wants to help me go for it, so I am lucky to have all these awesome supportive women around me. Now to live up to all that high praise!

Being a working mom to two little ones is definitely taxing and getting out of work at 5, getting the girls, coming home, cooking dinner, cleaning up, bathtime, bedtime--all within 3 hrs. It is hectic! It is a little easier now that it is getting lighter out later, but I am usually pretty exhausted at the end of the day. Now, if I can just get Ivy to let me sleep all night, I would be a happy camper!

All in all-life is good. I love my girls, love my hubby and love my job. Pretty much the trifecta!

Here are some pictures from our recent photo shoot.

Your girls are adorable! And I totally agree, I didn't think we were going to go through the "terrible two's" either with Gianna but suddenly, two weeks out from her 3rd birthday, she has become a tiny terror! Lol! Don't get me wrong, overall she is a good child but she has these melt downs lately and has started backtalking like mad! Ugh! Who knew!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE THE PICTURES!!!!

OK, now that's out of the way :) We had Terrible Threes here too! The difference for us was the level of communication. Age two was difficult because they were learning to speak. It was very frustrating. We didn't understand them and they didn't understand us! At three, they were better able to speak and they were definitely pushing the boundaries and testing the limits. By 4.5, we have a good routine and relationship with Amanda. Aidan, well, you know how that goes...

We all know why Terry loves you. It is because you're great and you'll continue to rock!!

I'm glad to "hear" an update from you. Hope we can see you soon.

Wish Craig luck on his CFP!
